Actor Robert Spillane Son of NYC Mobster Mickey Spillane Falls to Death

Gangster Mickey Spillane's son, actor Robert Spillane yesterday deceased after falling from the sixth floor of his apartment in New York. Police sources and witnesses told the New York Post that the 45-year-old actor was discovered by his brother Michael in the morning on the sidewalk outside the apartment.
Bobby Spillane's uncle, James McManus said the actor was leaning against a screen away and gave Spillane fell through an open window in his Hell's Kitchen apartment. "Michael came from Starbucks (coffee store) this morning and he crossed the street and saw Robert lying," said witness John. Spillane is survived by his wife Heather.
"Michael saw him as he was crossing the street, he panicked, you know, he was in shock. It is so sad," said Judith another eyewitness. Police reached Spillane's apartment after receiving a call from Michael. "Saturday Night Live" comedian Colin Quinn - whose production company produced Spillane's first play, "All dolled up" - also arrived on the scene. Quinn and Spillane were good friends and the actor playing various roles in the self-titled comic of the series, "The Colin Quinn Show."
Spillane also acted in the award-winning television series "NYPD Blue," "Law & Order" and "Rescue Me." He also had a minor role in 1999 "Thomas Crown Affair" movie remake. He was the youngest son of Mickey Spillane , an Irish-American gangster.
Mickey was killed in 1977 when Spillane was just 12 years old.
"I was a child. We lived in Woodside (Queens). Someone rang at the door. It was Friday the 13th, 1977, Spillers Lance had" once said in an interview with the Post.
