Hale’s video for ‘Magkaibang Mundo’ features Angel Locsin

Hale aims to rule the music charts anew with their fourth single, "Magkaibang Mundo," from their latest album “Kundiman” under PolyEast Records.

Recall that their previous singles including "Bahay Kubo," "Kalesa," and "Harinawa" all topped the charts as with other songs from previous albums especially “The Day You Said Goodnight,” which made the band a household name in 2005.

The video for “Magkaibang Mundo” was directed by Nani Naguit and it features a cameo role done by Angel Locsin.

Hale frontman and “Mundo” songwriter Champ Lui Pio shares, “For this video, it was really a team effort. The team brainstormed and really helped each other build the whole video from story line, to cinematography, color grading, editing – everything. What makes this video really special is the effort poured into it. You can really see and feel the passion the people put behind it.”

Champ continues, “Angel is truly an angel from heaven. To be honest, we were working on a limited budget for this video. She was gracious enough to appear on the video and do it for free. She was so involved and patient with us despite having to deal with obstacles during the shoot. Hands down to her! It was an experience that we will never forget.”

The song "Magkaibang Mundo" is about "recollecting past memories and rekindling precious moments of a past love. Wondering what life would have been if fate had gone in a different path. The person struggles to move on and cannot deny the passion he has for the other.”

"In the end, love prevails, hope will rise. But it might just be a little too late,” says Champ.

The best part of the song, lyrically and vocally, is found in the bridge as Champ starts to sing the lines: “Walang balakid / Walang makakapigil / Ang iyong pangalan / Sigaw ng damdamin / Hindi alam kung saan tutungo / Kung wala ka”.

Champ is thankful for Hale’s latest feat. He says, “For now, I'm just grateful for the experience shooting the video. I’m really, really happy with it. And I’m excited to share it to everyone.”

"Magkaibang Mundo" music video is slated for release on MYX premiere on July 11 at 8 a.m. The album “Kundiman” is still on record shelves.
