Police Nearly Saved Killer

Police were less than one meter away from the British killer Raoul Moat of the tractor when he sawed off shotgun jammed under his chin on Saturday withdrew.
Incredibly detailed accounts of the police sources at the scene to describe how two specially trained "snatch squad" teams unseen by Moat had crawled to him as he spoke to the negotiators and wanted to pounce on him when he shot himself. Dramatic video also shows how the police and paramedics tried to save Moat on the scene.
The police confirmed that two seconds before Tasers were fired Moat killed himself. At least one of them beaten, but not to turn it off.

The minute-by-minute details of the latest stand-off between the murderer and the police marksmen came as the Independent Police Complaints Commission launched an investigation into the manner of death 37-year-old Moat's by the River Coquet in Rothbury, Northumbria, in North East England.

The committee will also look at the events surrounding his release from prison just one day before he launched his shooting spree 11 days ago, wounding his ex-girlfriend Samantha Stobbart, 1922, killing her new partner, Chris Brown, 29, and wounding of PC Rathband David, 42.
The last act in the drama came after Moat - lying on a grassy field just yards from the river - yielded what the police described as a "living will" to the negotiators pleading with him to establish his weapon.
"Tell the kids I love them, tell Sam I'm sorry," he muttered a negotiator, along with comments on other members of his family.
Once that message is passed to the higher commander, the officers all knew what would happen.
"It was shock-and-awe tactic," said a police source. "At the very last minute, the men were in sight of him started to go forward with a great deal of noise to disorient people to HIM while His side, he did not know were there Would have jumped on him and pinned his limbs As much as we would deal with a potential suicide bomber.
