Best Hairstyles for Winter

Lovely Hairstyles for Winter

Many individuals, mostly women, throughout the world like to keep their hair in style. You may not realize it, but throughout the seasons, hairstyles change. A hairstyle or per say, hair color that is in style during the summer time may not be the same hairstyle that is in style during the winter months. Many of the winter months hairstyles along with hair color starts with the contrast of beautiful white skin against dark hair, this seems to be the most enchanting and natural beauty. An example of the contrast we are describing to you involves one of the leading princesses of Disney, Snow White.
There are lots of different winter color palettes that include the dark hair, but if you add a olive color to the skin, the images will be more of a sensual and exotic mystery. We all know what the number one priority for hair care is for the hair to shine. It does not matter if the hair is long, short or bobbed, it should still shine! The truth is, it is the shiny hair that will add that polish to your completed look. During the winter months, adding some frosting highlights to the hair will add an extra effect to the looks. However, one of the most common mistakes that women are known to make with their hair is to lighten it to much to a lighter tone.

Spring Summer Hairstyles Edition

If an individual is on a quest to cover up their gray hair during the winter months, we give a recommendation of lightening the hair all over in order to get rid of the graying areas and to give that natural look. Doing the opposite of this will only have an ending result with a washed out and aged winter appearance. Keep in mind that the hair needs to balance not only with the skin tones, but also with the wardrobe palette.

Memories (Dramatic Short Film)

I recently received an email from the director of this short film making me aware of the following:

"Hey there, I was wondering if you would want to share this short film I made featuring emo-type boys?
They shared it on the MilkBoys blog and board. :-)"
-Harrison John Bahe-

It is actually one of the finest touching efforts I have seen in quite a while, even being a "low budget" film! So watch it please and decide for yourself or comment on it.

**A boy writes a letter to his best friend about the best memories they shared together.**

"I am so proud to be the maker of this film but the credit has to go to Dietrich Thiele for coming up with the idea. It's such an amazing feeling knowing that our film touched the hearts of thousands and I can't thank you all enough for your awesome comments. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"     NavajoJoeFilms

having soft, smooth, and shiny hair

emo girl hair
Having soft, smooth, and shiny hair does not have to be difficult and expensive. Just follow these few simple steps and you will have beautiful and luxurious emo hair in no time.

First, brush your hair several times a day. Brushing helps remove the dirt, dust, and grime that get trapped in your hair. It also helps distribute the natural oils produced by the scalp, from the roots to the tips.

Shampoo your hair every other day and condition it everyday. Shampooing on a daily basis may strip off the natural oils that moisturize the hair. Conditioning it, on the other hand, restores lost moisture and keeps the natural oils in place.

Use cold water as much as possible when washing your hair. This seals the hair cuticles and locks the conditioner as close to the hair follicle as possible.

Give your hair a hot oil treatment once every two weeks. Mayonnaise or egg yolks can be used as an alternative to expensive salon treatments. Spread mayonnaise or egg yolks combined with olive oil all over your hair, concentrating on the ends. Cover your hair with a shower cap for 10-20 mins and then rinse well.

Eat lots of food rich in B-vitamins and proteins, like bananas, soybeans, avocados, eggs, grains, and red meat. The nutrients found in these food items are responsible for healthy and shiny hair.

Refrain from using heated styling tools and alcohol-based styling products as much as possible, as this can easily dry out your hair. If it cannot be avoided, use thermal styling tools and water-based styling products, which cause less damage to the hair.

Lastly, have your hair trimmed every six weeks to keep it in tip-top shape. This gets rid of the dry ends and keeps the rest of the hair looking good and healthy.

Straighten Out Your Hair with Hair Iron

Straight Hair Tips - Winter 2008-2009

Within this article, we are going to tell you some tips on how to use the hair iron to straighten out your hair. Today, it seems that the hair iron is starting to emerge and become more popular than ever before. The hair iron is being used by women of ages. You should use the hair iron after you have cleaned your hair. It could be dangerous for you to use the hair iron before you clean your hair because of the grease and dirt that is in your hair could cause your hair to cook and be damaged.
This may seem like a no brainer, but we have heard stories of individuals doing this, you should never iron your hair with the iron you use to iron your clothes. If you do this, your hair is going to singe. You can cut the singed hair off, but we recommend you using a hair iron that is used for this purpose. You should first dry your hair for around fifteen minutes with a hair dryer, depending on the thickness of your hair, then continue with the drying process and use a comb at the same time. You should carefully comb your hair in order to get the curl out. Then in the end, no more than five minutes, you will use the hair iron at the ends of your hair. This is a safe way to straighten your hair and it will leave it shiny.
When you are blow drying your hair, we ask that you use cold air because hot air can damage the hair. Besides cold air is good for the hair and will leave it shinier and healthier looking. When blow drying your hair, you should always use a brush. Now you have it, your straight hair tips.

Frohawk (Try a New Style)

frohawkmohawk"My hair-style is a frohawk. The back of my hair is a mohawk, the sides are buzzed, and the top of my hair is bought to the middle. I usually first straighten my hair for half an hour, especially the back, and then i use "TRESemme" hairspray to spike it up. I just put my head down and spray. I use to use wax and gel, but hairspray puts a better look on my style. It gives the dry look that I have been looking for."

massugu thinning scissors

thinning shears

Thinning shears(or thinning scissors as I like to call them) should be used to thin out your hair. I suggest Massugu thinning scissors as these scissors have been designed specifically with the beginning hairdresser in mind. These are simply gap-toothed scissors that cut only half the hair. These also come with various gap sizes, depending on what you need cut away.

I've seen how many people struggle with thick hair and I can just imagine the pain it is to manage it, hope this helps.

Peyton Amber - "PATENT" CD

Peyton Amber, born 16 May 1994, is the youngest of three siblings from the North Eastern suburbs. She discovered her love for music at a very young age and decided to pursue singing as a career. Peyton currently attends school at TTA (The Training Academy) in Edenvale, Johannesburg. She started her music career singing in various karaoke competitions. In May 2009, she placed 3rd in a competition held by Karaoke Connection in East Rand. She frequently sang as a guest artist with Southern Comfort (a 2-piece group) at pubs and restaurants in the Midrand and East Rand such as the Keg, Trotters and Saints. In May 2010, Peyton joined the Pizzazz Entertainment, to do a 4 night show at Wits theatre, which was a very beneficial experience for her. She has started to perform solo in restaurants and feels at home singing to people.

Her hobbies include fashion, golf and high jump, where she excels in at school. She has a deep appreciation for modern art as well as tattoos. Her main interest is music, and she is influenced by Paramore, Flyleaf and Celine Dion. She is broadening her music talent by taking guitar, piano and vocal courses.

In 1980 Butch Brocco formed the band with Patric Van Blerk’s guidance called “BUTCH”. He
released a self composed single called “Café Casablanca” about a coffee bar in Rocky Street,
Johannesburg. The song received extensive airplay and was regarded as a “radio hit” because it was played three times a day for 11 weeks on Radio 702 (a music station at the time). “BUTCH” was nominated for the Sarie Awards in the same year. The band was popular on the club circuit after which the members of the band pursued their own interests.

Café Casablanca: The Video

In 2000, Butch Brocco formed a record label called “Ridge Music” to release a CD of self composed songs for a kids group (the “Sugar Kids”). He managed them together with Jenny Ramie. The CD was sold at various gigs where they performed.
The “Sugar Kids” enjoyed success by performing at shopping centres and had the privilege to perform at Nelson Mandela’s Children Day at Zoo Lake. The group was together for four years and then disbanded and Ridge Music was put on hold.

In 2009, Ridge Music CC was reformed and a studio was built and equipped at 42 Hannaben Street, Linksfield Ridge by Butch Brocco. At the same time he was introduced
to “Peyton Amber” where she was performing at a restaurant in Boksburg. Butch and Peyton collaborated to do their first CD “PATENT”. This took a year and a half to record as Peyton is still at school and Butch has a construction company.

Butch has now taken over managing Peyton’s career through Ride Music.
After a lot of hard work and dedication Peyton and Butch are proud of the final result andhope to get the deserved support by all in the Industry and the public.

Emo Kids

emo scene hair

YES, the major difference between emos and scenesters are their attitude. But I don't believe all 'scene kids' have an original personality, as you say 'dont follow the personality'. Yea, they dont follow the emo personality. But they still have one they mostly all have.. they think highly of themselves.

Another difference is, emos are generally natured to black. Scene kids love colors. Rainbows, neon colors..anything and everything!(Although I see emos starting to like rainbows now..xD)

Another thing is the 'obsessions'. Emos love, mostly Jack Skellington, and such things as that. While Scene kids are more into the look of say, Sanrio characters, like Hello Kitty. And also, Gloomy Bear is a big thing for them.

While emos and scenes are close to each other, I think the difference is more than what it seems. It isnt just the personality, but the style too. The common thing shared among them is probably the hair. But scene hair is most definately BIGGER.

You should be able to tell the difference, on the spot, from an emo or a scene kid. Guys are harder to distinguish than girls most of the time. But see a guy with a lot of confidence and he seems like hed have a big mouth on him, wearing bright colors, and big sun glasses..I think its safe to assume hes 'scene'. While a guy wearing mostly black, quiet in the corner, walking slowly..well, thats emo. But even if an emo doesnt follow the personality, you can still tell them apart by the overall style.
