Typhoon leaves 37 dead, thousands homeless in Philippines, blows toward Vietnam

Manila, Philippines (AP) - Typhoon Conson was blown away by the Philippines after killing at least 37 people, deep in the main northern island of darkness and leaving the new president fuming over the failure of the forecasts, to predict that the storm will slam in the capital .

Emergency teams on Thursday recovered the electricity in the capital and nearby provinces in Luzon island, flights resumed and schools again as normalcy crept back.
